 Repeated attempts this month to contact the militants in Oromia for talks were unsuccessful, the prime minister said.

The governor said this during the 11th ordinary session of the House of Representatives on Tuesday(February 28, 2023).

"If there is responsibility, it belongs to all of us and I have nothing to do alone," he said.

"The authority gives and takes away from the people. so nothing will happen because we have argued with each other in this council.

"The source of power is to present the preferred ideas to the people.

"Power is by corruption, not by giving and receiving," he said.
