Call for Private Entrepreneurs to Engage in Aviation Industry

The Civil Aviation Authority of Ethiopia (CAA) has called on private entrepreneurs to invest in the aviation industry.

He called on the private sector authorities to strengthen their participation in the aviation industry, especially in the construction and management of small airports and helicopters.

Currently, Ethiopia is operating 22 regular services including the status of 4 international airports.

It is pointed out that this number is not enough in terms of delivery and speed of the service.

Authority Director Getachew Mangistee Ibsa told the media that Ethiopia has been unique in the air transport sector and the construction of airports and small helicopters is low compared to other countries.

In addition, he called on the authority to participate in the development sector which is of high national and regional interest.
